Francisco Perez Yoma

Francisco Pérez Yoma is a Chilean engineer and businessman in the real estate sector. He studied at Saint George’s College and Universidad de Chile, where he graduated as a Civil Engineer. Founder of Empresas FPY in 1978, one of the largest construction and real estate groups in Chile, dedicated mainly to the construction of social housing and middle sectors, with 120,000 homes built since its inception.

He is the founder and chairman of Inmobiliaria PY S.A., which is part of Empresas FPY and a holding of companies dedicated to construction and real estate management. He is a leader in the real estate market with more than 35 years of experience, and nowadays his business has a strong presence in the most important regions of Chile.

He founded Maquinaria PY S.A., a company that offers an excellent service in the leasing of machinery and equipment for construction since 1987, backed by more than 25 years of experience of its partners and founders, who have been responsible for converting the machinery department of FPY companies in a company providing services for construction.

He is a founding partner of Constructora Carran S.A. which has already built 100 thousand homes along the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and tenth regions of Chile.

In 1994, he was a pioneer in the creation of “Zonas de Desarrollo Urbano Condicionado (ZODUC)”, an urban planning instrument implemented in 1997, which generates large neighborhoods with equipped houses, green areas, shops and services.

In 1995, Francisco Pérez acquired Pesquera Confish S.A., which manufactures fishmeal and fish oil in Coronel, Bío Bío Region, Chile. This firm merged in 2002 with Pesquera Itata S.A., today Blumar S.A., one of the main fishing companies in the country.

In the agricultural sector, he is currently the chairman of Agrícola Los Alfalfales, a company dedicated to the production of nuts since 1985. Also, he has a livestock farming operation abroad.

Francisco Pérez Yoma has investments abroad, mainly in the United States. He participates in the hotel industry, where he is a member of the Board of Directors and of the Investment Committee of Driftwood Development Partners and Driftwood Lending Partners (www.dadlp.com), and in the areas of office real estate, residential real estate development and he owns a livestock farming operation.
