Francisco Perez Yoma

Francisco Pérez Yoma is a Chilean engineer and real estate entrepreneur. Francisco Pérez studied at the University of Chile, where he earned a degree in civil engineering.

He founded Empresas FPY in 1978, one of Chile’s largest construction and real estate groups, which focuses primarily on building affordable housing and homes for the middle class, with more than 140,000 homes built.

In 1994, he pioneered the creation of the Conditional Urban Development Zones (ZODUC), an urban planning tool implemented in 1997.

In 1995, Francisco Pérez acquired Pesquera Confish S.A., a company dedicated to the production of fish meal and fish oil in Coronel, Bío Bío Region, Chile. This firm merged in 2002 with Pesquera Itata S.A.—now Blumar S.A.—one of the country’s leading fishing companies.

In the agricultural sector, he is currently President of Agrícola Los Alfalfales, a company that has been producing nuts since 1985.

Francisco Pérez Yoma has investments abroad, primarily in the United States. He is involved in the hotel industry, where he served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of Driftwood Development Partners, Driftwood Acquisition Partners, and Driftwood Lending Partners.
